FISHING FOR THE FAMOUS TAUPO TROUT
Try your hand at catching a world famous Tongariro rainbow trout Guides are available to take you fishing either on lake Taupo or on any of the local rivers or lakes, from individuals to groups.
Lake trips from $150 for 3hrs (up to three on board).
Lake full day from $450.
River $50 per hour minimum 3hrs.
River full day from $400 for 2 people.

TOKAANU HOT POOLS
Sooth yourself in the warm thermal waters.
Private pools available adults $7, children $3.50 (access to public pool after)

Open daily 10am to 9pm.
Stoll around the park and see thermal pools in their natural state, observe locals preparing food in the boiling waters.

NATIONAL TROUT CENTRE
Set in beautiful natural surroundings along the banks of the Tongariro River. Visit the museum or watch the trout feed through the observation window set in a natural stream. Open daily from 9am to 3pm.
Childrenís open fishing days $6.00 where they are taught how to catch a trout and then take it home for tea along with their certificate.
